Tim Lambert is Centaurus's founder, Course Director and father of 4 boys! His playing days were at Radley College, Rosslyn Park Colts and latterly Old Paulines RFC all in England. Rowing was Tim's other love where after 2 years in the Radley 1st VIII he rowed for Wales whilst Captaining the University Boat Club. He started his mini-rugby coaching career in 1993 at the RIchmond Rugby Club in London where he coached the Under 10s team. The following 6 years of coaching were spent in Hong Kong at the Stanley Fort Mini-Rugby Football Club where he coached at U6, U7, U8, U9 and U10 age levels. On moving to Singapore in 2000 he established and coached an U8s Mini-rugby squad at Tanglin Trust School but left to set up Centaurs a few months later. At Centaurs, Tim helps with coaching at most levels as well as running the U5s on Sunday mornings. Tim is an iRB Level 1 qualified coach and has his SIngapore National Coaches Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Level 1 badge. Tim is a qualified First Responder.

Chris Bracey, is from the UK via the Southern Hemisphere! Chris has played inside centre for SCC here in Singapore. He has also played around the World, both as an amateur and professional for clubs including - Saracens RFC, London Broncos Rugby League, Colle Ferro (Italian Div 2), Auckland Marist, Auckland U21s, Marist St Pat (Wellington), Wellington Maori, Kowloon, Hong Kong Barbarians at 15s and 7s. Chris is also a qualified personal fitness instructor and has held fitness testing for the Samoa 7s squad and selected Wellington Rep players! Chris is involved with the U12 to U18 sections at Centaurs. Chris has attended the iRB Level 2 Coaching Course.

Scott Ashby is currently playing for the Singapore Cricket Club and has played first grade rugby in Australia and is a product of the Australian Institute of Sport rugby programme. Scott has played professionally for Kowloon RFC in Hong Kong and the Macau RFC. Scott has also played in Argentina, the USA and mainland China. With accreditation and coaching experience in U18s, U16s and U12s in Australia and U10s and U8s in Hong Kong, Scott brings great expertise in tight-five forward play to the U16s and U18s at Centaurs RFC. Scott is iRB Level 1 qualified and attended an Elite Coaching Course in 2004.

Peter Williams is a graduate of Loughborough University where he played wing and captained the 1st XV. Before coming to Singapore in 2002, Pete played 4 years club rugby for Leicester Tigers in England. Pete plays on the wing for the local Bucks Rugby Club and is a member of the Singapore Barbarians. He is also a Singapore National 7s and 15s squad member. At Centaurs, Pete coaches at the Under 12s and Under 14s level.

Mark Carpenter is a father of 4 and runs the Under 12s. During his playing days Mark represented Oxfordshire U21s and Brighton University. He is also an accomplished oarsman, having rowed for England U21s.

Rob Devine is a Welshman with a passion for rugby and a great rapport with the young kids. Having played throughout school and at youth level, an injury put an end to his playing career. Rob is Head Coach of the U10s section where he is ably assisted by numerous enthusiastic dads. Rob currently plays Touch Rugby for Bucks RFC in Singapore and runs the Centaurs RFC Touch Section. Rob is also the Club's Operations Director and a qualified First Responder. Rob has attended the iRB Level 2 Coaching Course.

Iain McMullen, is the Northern Ireland Shot Putt record holder! He also played rugby on both sides of the Irish Sea having played for Ulster, Irish Exiles, Loughborough and Leicestershire up to U21 level. Iain currently plays for Bucks RFC and the Singapore Barbarians and is also a Singapore National 7s and 15s player. Iain coaches at the U11s and U14s levels at Centaurs. Iain has attended the iRB Level 2 Coaching Course.

Ben Wheeler's representative honours include England schools U16 and U18, and England students and the World renouned Barbarians in 2003. Ben followed in his fathers footsteps and spent 5 years at Leicester Tigers and was on their books as a full time professional in 1st xv squad 2001-2003, when they retained the league for 5th year in a row and back to back Heineken European cups! Ben has also played for Loughborough University 1st xv, Cambridge University (double blue, 2003 - 2005 varsity matches). He currently plays for Bucks RFC and Singapore Barbarians. Ben is also experienced working with kids having coached on Rugbyclass residential coaching courses in the UK and in schools and clubs whilst at Leicester. Ben is IRB level 1 qualified.

Tom 'Pinky' Burns When he has been back in Singapore, Tom has played fly half for the SCC. However up until this summer he has been juggling SCC rugby with a spot on the Trinity College Dublin 1st XV in Ireland's premier AIL division. Prior to playing for Trinity, Tom was part of a vintage Wellington College team that won Rugby World Magazine's "2001 Team of Year". On the strength of a greencard, Tom has also represented the USA at the 2001 Under 19 World Cup in Venice, Italy.

Obaida Arabi ("Obi") graduated with an honours degree in sports coaching from UWIC in Wales. He is currently a rugby development officer with the Singapore Rugby Union. To date he has managed the Singapore National U19s squad at the ARFU U19s World Cup qualifiers in 2006 and is responsible for development of rugby in Singapore's North zone. His playing career includes Cardiff and District 1st XV, Caerphilly (Welsh Premiership) 1st XV, UWIC 1st XV, Cardiff Blues U21 and Central Wales South U18 and U19. Obi has attended the iRB Level 2 Coaching Course. At Centaurs RFC, Obi is coaching U11 and older age groups. |
